The NycArtsCypher is the concept of founder/president Charlie Balducci. First was the vision to create a space for networking artists in all areas of arts and entertainment (Photo 1, Photo 2, Photo 3) But after creating the 12 Broad Street location during the plywood event (Photo 1, Photo 2, Photo 3) it was evident that there was a responsibility to represent the Staten Island community in a positive way. Immediate reactions to the 2 level interactive space were amazing and the colorful environment inspired many collaborative projects between dancers, singers, DJs, Emcees, Graff artists, fine artists, videographers, poets, and many others. 9/11 Project: (Photo 1, Photo 2, Photo 3), Statistical Awareness: (Photo 1, Photo 2, Photo 3), Grand Opening: (Photo 1, Photo 2, Photo 3)
CYPHER (sy-fer) noun/redefined = A circle or group of individuals focused on the same goals. The organization’s logo is called the Crazyhead (See Photo). The movement had begun and the mission was to develop a progressive organization that created opportunities for emerging artists and teens within the arts and entertainment industry. The organization developed after school programs ((Photo 1, Photo 2, Photo 3), community based projects (Photo 1, Photo 2, Photo 3), and once the interactive space was fully designed, the NycArtsCypher became known for showcasing talent in the Urban Arts.
